Harrison, Idaho sits on the eastern shore of Coeur d'Alene Lake. An active resort town in the warm summer season, Harrison bustles with bicyclists, boaters, campers, RVers, and motorcyclists all coming to take in the beauty of the lake and small-town offerings. Once a landing for steamers, Harrison remains a destination for pleasure boaters seeking fun and adventure on the clear waters. The historic and relaxing town is perfectly situated on the sunny shores of the lake between the St. Joe River and the Coeur d'Alene River with access to 12 lakes within a short distance ~ all by boat.

Stretching from 1-90 to Hwy 3, Scenic Byway 97

meanders along the eastern shoreline of Coeur d'Alene Lake and is a beautiful lake route to Harrison by car, motorcycle or RV. Visitors and travelers enjoy frequent sightings of bald eagles, osprey, moose, elk and other indigenous flora and fauna along the way. Just before entering into Harrison from the north on Hwy 97, the road crosses over the scenic Coeur d'Alene River, where the Trail of the Coeur d' Alene Springston Trailhead can be accessed for cycling, rollerblading, walking and sight-seeing.
